Yangon – Kalaw – Inle – Kyaing Tong – Mandalay – Bagan – Pyay


Day 01 Yangon
Upon arrive in Yangon, you are warmly welcomed by our local English tour guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. On the way to hotel, visit Mindama Hill where the world biggest white marble Buddha Image is situated and also to see the 3 white elephants. After hotel check-in, we leave the rest of the day to you to relax. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon
After breakfast at hotel in the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel then escort you to start the tour from the Bogyoke Market, known for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets. End your day at the Shwedagon Pagoda, where you'll enjoy the sunset views of this gorgeous chedi which is covered by more than 40 tons of gold leaves. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 03 Yangon – Heho - Kalaw
Board a morning flight to Heho and enjoy a one-hour scenic drive to Pindaya for visiting Pindaya Cave and proceed to Kalaw by car. Walking tour in Kalaw. Overnight in Kalwaw.
Day 04 Kalaw – Shabin (Danu Village)
Early morning start your 3 days trekking trip. The road and trail goes through beautiful scenery. On the way visit the villages of Palaung, Danu, Pao and Taung Yoe. Your local station tour guide will introduce you to the villagers and will show you the traditional ways of life. Lunch in Hinkhagone, a Palaung village. The path goes up and down. Native along the way do the plantation for Tea leaves, Coffee, Cordial leaves, Mustard, Ginger, Malt Rice, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Sesame. Late afternoon you will arrive to Shabin a typical Danu village with 12th Century old wooden monastery. Dinner and overnight in the village.
Day 05 Shabin – Teetain
After your breakfast at the monastery continue your trekking trip. It is about 7 hours trekking. The people in this area grow fruits; Avocado, Banana, Oranges, Jack fruits, Papaya. You will have the chance to see the crab apple trees along the way together with some shady Banyan trees. Lunch at Pawke a Pa O village. After lunch you have to walk for another 3½ hours to Teetain a typical Pa O village. Native along this way do the plantation especially for Ginger. Dinner and overnight in the village.
Day 06 Teetain – Inle
After breakfast continue the 5 hours trekking trip to the shore of the Inle lake. The trail goes through beautiful scenery of Bamboo forest. The natives of Pa O, Taung Yoe and Intha along the way grow fruits; Banana, Papaya, Potato and Beans. Lunch at lower Thandaung village. In the afternoon transfer by boat to your hotel.
Day 07 Indein - Inle Lake
Your day begins with a visit to a morning market right on the lake, which is frequented by the locals. The journey continues as we bring you to the Pa O village of In Dein, where you'll tread up a covered stairway to the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area, with its ancient vegetation-covered stupas and magnificent views over the lake. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, taking in the natural surroundings. Overnight at hotel in Lake Inle.
Day 08 Inle Lake - Heho – Kyaing Tong
Before departing Inle Lake, you'll pay a visit to a local weaving village and cheroot factory, which produces handmade cigars. We'll then transfer you to Heho Airport for your flight to Kyaing Tong, he former Shan capital. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Sightseeing in Kyaing Tong starts with Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, housing Mandalay style Buddha image and near by a monastery where the monks learn "Khun" language, which is very similar to that used in the Northern Thailand. Proceed to the Shan lacquer ware making home industry to learn embossing method lacquer ware making. Overnight in Kyaing Tong.
Day 09 Kyaing Tong
After breakfast your local station guide will meet you at the hotel for a hiking tour into the Pin Tauk area. Lush mixed monsoon forest with a view to the plain rice fields looking like a huge, green patchwork blanket shimmering in the water of the flooded paddy fields. Your local guide will introduce you to the villagers of Aka and An tribes. Some are baptized, some tribes still animists. The walk is not difficult, and can be done slowly. Some of the An villages or on hills, appr. a 45% "steep" walk up but for not more than half an hour. The An people, known to be the kindest tribe, as there is no case up to nowadays where an An member has ever been violent. It will take about 6 hours to visit the villages, including visits of the houses. Late afternoon come back to Kyaing Tong for overnight.
Day 10 Kyaing Tong - Mandalay
Morning we’ll transfer you to Kyaing Tong Airport for flight to the legendary city of Mandalay. Upon arrival, check in hotel and free for the rest of the day. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 11 Mandalay – Amarapura
Your visit to Mandalay begins at the famous Mahamuni Pagoda, with its venerable golf-leaf covered Buddha statue, before we bring you to the former capital of Amarapura, where you'll have an opportunity to attend the daily meal of over a thousand monks at the country's largest monastery and attend a silk weaving workshop. Your adventure continues back in Mandalay with a visit to several prominent sites including Kuthodaw Pagoda, with its 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures (known as the world's biggest book). End the day enjoying sunset views over the town from Mandalay Hill. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 12 Mandalay - Ayravata Cruise
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy some free time at the hotel before we take you to the jetty to board your ship, the Ayravata Cruise, RV Paukkan2007. Start cruising with welcome cocktail and briefing in the Saloon or Sundeck followed by lunch. Spend the day relaxing on board enjoying the many sights of the Irrawaddy River while dining and sipping cocktails before visiting to Yandabo, a village specializing in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Then visit the Pot workshops, the monastery.. Stay overnight on board Ayravata Cruise near the village of Shwe Nann Tint.
Day 13 Bagan
Your relaxing river cruise continues as you head downstream to Bagan, visiting a traditional river village before transferring to your hotel. After freshening up you'll explore the many wonders of Bagan, including ancient stupas, caves and temples. In the afternoon, your cultural day of exploration continues in Ananda, an architectural masterpiece, where you'll enjoy a relaxing horse carriage tour among the temples. Stay overnight in Bagan.
Day 14 Bagan
Begin the day with a visit to the busy Nyaung Oo Market before we take you to the countryside village of Minnanthu, with its unique and unusual temples. Next, take a stroll through the picturesque Myinkabar village with its many cultural sites. Your day comes to a relaxing end as you sit back and enjoy the sunset in Bagan from an open terrace. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 15 Bagan – Pyay
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning leave for Pyay City. On the way you can view the way of life of Myanmar People. Arrive at Pyay and relax at hotel and sightseeing includes: Thayay Khittaya (Sri Kestra), an archaeological site of the ancient Pyu capital(5th – 9th century). Shwe San Daw Pagoda, Bawbawgyi Pagoda and around Pyay. Overnight at hotel in Pyay.
Day 16 Pyay - Yangon
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning leave back for Yangon and Sightseeing can be made on the way to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon and proceed to hotel. Then free time for you to relax at hotel Overnight in Yangon.
Day 17 Yangon
After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will meet you at your hotel then escort you to the airport to take the morning flight to home.
