Yangon – Hpa An – Mawlamyine – Thanbyuzayat – Kyaikhtiyo – Bago

Day 01 Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport meet your guide and transfer to hotel. You will be guided for sightseeing in Yangon featuring many interesting sights and sounds start from Sel(Ten) Mile Market and Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda. Including visits to the landmark of the city center, Sule Pagoda and the City Hall. Walk around the Mahabandoola Park to see the colonial buildings and Botataung Pagoda at the bank of the Yangon River. Overnight at Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon – Hpa An
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Hpa An, the riverside capital of Karen State, by private car/coach which will take approximately 7 hrs drive through the scenic road. Have lunch at Sein Le’ Tin Resort at Kyaik Hto town. As approaching to Hpa An, visit Kaw Gun Cave features lime stone cave with hundreds of Terracotta votive tablets and Buddha images carving on the walls and ceilings of the cavern since 7th century. Arrive in Hpa An and check in at hotel. After refreshment, visit to Shwe Yin Hmyaw Pagoda; which is located on the Than Lwin River Bank and then proceed to one of the picturesque spot in Kayin State, Kyauk Kalap Pagoda which is set on top of the unusual rock formation in the middle of small lake. Dinner at hotel restaurant and overnight in Hpa An.
Day 03 Hpa An
After breakfast at hotel, morning visit to Kan Thar yar Lake with the background of Mt. Zwekabin for a photo stop. Then proceed to Lumbani Garden and Mt. Zwekabin; the tallest of the lime stone mountain chain which is crowned by a stupa containing a hair of the Buddha. From the foot of the Mt. Zwekabin, you will take a hike for 2 hrs to the top of the mountain where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Kayin beauty. Later on visit to Saddan Cave which is the enormous cavern filled with Buddha images and pagodas and enjoy the boat ride at the end of the cave. Visit to another famous cave in Kayin State, Yathaypyan Cave and return to hotel. Dinner at your hotel and overnight in Hpa An.
Day 04 Hpa An – Mawlamyine
After breakfast at hotel, morning transfer to Pa Tauk Seik Jetty to take a scenic boat ride through Thanlwin River to Mawlamyine; former colonial city and the capital city of Mon State, situated on the southern side of the mighty Thanlwin River. Stop at half-way in the small village of Kadow to visit U Nar Auk Monastery which houses fantastic reliefs displaying the history of Buddha’s life. Upon arrival to Mawlamyine, have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to Thanbyuzayat; 64 km south of Mawlamyine, noted for Burma- Siam Railway called Death Railway and the Allied War Cemetery. Back to Mawlamyine and visit Kyaikthanlan Pagoda; where you can enjoy a fabulous sunset view over the entire city and area. Enjoy dinner at local restaurant and overnight at Mawlamyine.
Day 05 Mawlamyine – Kyaikhtiyo
After breakfast at hotel, morning visit to Mawlamyine Market and then proceed to Kyaikhto, Kinpun basecamp of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. Have lunch and relax at the basecamp before the exhilaration journey up to the hill top of Kyaikhtiyo for 14 km. On the ridge, enjoy the wonders of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda and its breath-taking landscape and environs. Have dinner and overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 06 Kyaikhtiyo – Bago - Yangon
After breakfast at hotel, drive back to Yangon and on half-way visit to Bago, an ancient capital of the former Mon kingdom dating back to the 6th century. Sightseeing in Bago includes Shwethalyaung the most lifelike of reclining Buddha and the Mon style Shwemawdaw Pagoda. Also visit the well-restored former palace Kambozathadi. End the tour of Bago with a walk around the colourful Bago Market. On the way back to Yangon, visit the Allied War Cemetery in Htauk Kyant, which was built in 1951 and resting place for over 27,000 allied soldiers during the World War II. Have dinner at local restaurant and overnight at Yangon.
Day 07 Yangon
After breakfast at hotel, visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the landmark of Myanmar. Then proceed to Bogyoke Market (aka) Scott Market, Gems Mart and Art Galleries (Optional due to International flight schedule) until the transfer to Yangon International Airport for your departure flight.
